This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.

1 John 5:4-5

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”

Friends,

The key to your victory is not wrapped up in your obedience or lack of it, the key to your victory in life is simply believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God because He paid the price on the cross for your sins and He took your shame and defeat upon Himself. Since Jesus defeated death He gave you victory over every area of your life.

God’s Not Angry With You!

Isaiah 54:9 (NLT) “Just as I swore in the time of Noah that I would never again let a flood cover the earth, so now I swear that I will NEVER AGAIN be ANGRY angry and PUNISH you.”

Dear friends,

This is a powerful passage in the Bible. After the earth was flooded in Noah’s  day, the judgement and condemnation behind it cleared the earth. When it was all said and done, God swore that He would never again let a flood cover the earth. It’s called the law of double jeopardy, not punishing the same offense twice. The writer Isaiah compares the flood to the time we are living in now when He foresaw when Jesus Christ would come into the world and take our sins upon Himself. So God was saying just like the flood hit the earth once and judgment came, it’s the same thing with you and I when Jesus came to take our sins upon Himself on the cross. When Jesus hung on the cross, the anger of God, the judgement of God, the wrath of God was all dumped on the body of Jesus Christ and He was punished for our whole lifetime of sins. So since that happen once and God’s anger was released on Jesus’ body and He was punished for our sins, God will NEVER be angry with us nor condemn us, nor punish us for our sins again! You may ask, how do you get in on this deal? It’s quite simple, believe in Jesus Christ, confess that He is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead and you will be eternally saved and God will never be angry with you again.

Remember you are loved by Jesus,       -Pastor T

Happy Labor Day!

As we enjoy food and fun times with our loved ones, let us always remember this:

Jesus Christ has paid the tab for all of our sins #Paid in full. He labored when He was on this earth when He redeemed us back to our Heavenly Father God and He did so with His precious blood. The thing about God’s Blessing is this: Jesus labored for you, died for you and gave you His blessing. So let’s see what the blessing of The Lord does for us.  (Proverbs 10:22 NKJV) “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”   This word “sorrow” also means “Toil, Sweat, Hard Labor” So when God blesses you, He’s not going to add hard labor to it because He already did the hard labor for you.

Enjoy your labor day and live every day toil free, yet you will find yourself being very productive.

Blessings,

“What good is it knowing that Jesus was raised from the dead anyway?”

1 Corinthians 15:17

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins.”

alive

Ok, So Paul says in this verse, in essence that if Jesus Christ was not raised from the dead we are still in our sins. So here’s the good news and lets flip this verse around: Jesus Christ has been risen, so therefore we are no longer in our sins. Wow! When you put your faith in Jesus Christ and receive Him as your Lord and savior you are No-Longer-In-Your-Sins! So, therefore you will be forgiven forever and God will be on your side forever. Also, you will experience favor from God forever and you have access to God’s best, forever! A person who is right with God will by no means have any blessing withheld from them. So, receive Jesus today and have your sins forever wiped clean because HE LIVES!

See you on Easter Sunday,

“How can I be restored and experience peace in my life?”

Psalm 23:3 (AMP)

“He (The Lord) refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.” Friends, it is because of Jesus dying on the cross for us that we experience the reversal of everything negative in our lives. The writer of this psalm says that The Lord is responsible  for leading him in the paths of being right with God and it’s not something he earned. When we just accept the fact that it is Jesus who refreshes and restores our life,  it is He who restores our soul then we can enjoy the reality of Jesus and Jesus alone making  us right with God and not our behavior. When we believe the truth we will act right and we will experience our life being restored as well as true peace. Good day! Blessings, -Pastor Toby

“Does being under the grace of God mean being lazy?” Well my friend I am glad you asked that question. The answer is quite simple, no! On the contrary, grace doesn’t cause you to become lazy, it actually causes you to become more productive than ever before. For example let’s take a look at what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:9-10 about his ministry: “For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” You see, even if society has counted you out, or if you feel like you might need to go to school longer and try harder to make it ahead in life just rethink that stance you take. Dear friend, no need to wonder if you are being lazy, take a step back and rest in that fact that you are going to trust Jesus to meet your every need and direct your every step because that’s what His grace is for. When you rest in the fact that you will  allow God to direct your path and depend on His un-merited favor you will end up being more productive and laboring more than your peers effortlessly. The reason why you will be more productive is because you will begin to experience that it is God who blesses and promotes.  You will trust Him, not your degree, skill set or lack thereof.  So be encouraged and know that God loves you so much that He decided to bless you with so much favor which will cause you to be productive and succeed in life because of what Jesus did for you. “Is Jesus really that good?” “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life…” (Psalm 23:6 NKJV)  Often times when others say “God bless you” , “Jesus loves you”  or “God is good” we wonder “Are they telling the truth, is God really that good?”  Well I am here to tell you my friends… yes He is! This verse in Psalms 23:6 not only proves it to be a fact but also a reality which gives us a glimpse into the way God thinks. Think about it like this: Everywhere we go, Jesus is personally seeing to it that He is good to us even though we don’t deserve it and He show’s us mercy when we mess up. How is this possible you ask? The great transaction went down on the cross that Jesus hung on when He paid the price for your sins. We owed a debt we couldn’t pay for our sins and we deserved death, judgment and punishment for our sins which is eternal separation from God. However there is a remedy. Jesus took all of our sins upon His own body on the cross. He took the wrath of God, the judgment of God, the punishment for all our sins and He died for us and rose again all because He loved us. So therefore my friend, once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, God now sees you as being in right standing with Himself always. If that’s not a sweet deal get this, on top of that, God set it up in such a way that even when we fail He shows us mercy by not punishing us nor being angry with us. When God shows us mercy it’s because He is not giving us what we deserve when we fail. The other side of the coin is, God’s goodness which is shown through His grace. Grace is the undeserved, unmerited, unearned favor of God which He gives us free of charge. The reason why you can receive blessings that you don’t deserve and mercy everywhere you go is not because God has turned into a softy when it comes to sin, oh no! It’s all because God is so holy that He is faithful to what Jesus did on the cross for you when He was punished on your behalf. Since Jesus was punished for the sins of your entire life, God can never punish you again for your sins. So my friend, when you are going out and about during your day and when you sleep at night know this: Because of Jesus, God’s goodness and mercy follows you everywhere you go, now that’s what I call true love. How can I benefit from this? It’s quite simple. Romans 10:9 says: “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Saved means: To save, heal, preserve, rescue from danger or destruction. It also means that you will spend your eternity with God and this also benefits your well being here and now. So pray this prayer and believe that Jesus paid the complete price for you to be free. “Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, I confess that Jesus is Lord and I believe that You raised Him from the dead. Thank you for forgiving me of all my sins and saving my life from destruction, in Jesus name I am now saved, Amen.” -Welcome to the family of God. It’s that simple and God really is that Good. Blessings, -Pastor Toby
